End June last year 2020 I moved from my unit on Sydneys northern beaches to take care of my elderly father then 95 on the Central Coast of NSW. Dad had a car accident end April and wrote off his 22 year old commodore. This really took its toll on a 95 year old man and he started to decline and have a lot of medical issues resulting from the accident.
With no medical background I could see that my father needed far more care than I could offer him.
Around this time (early October 2020) I ran into a friend who spoke very highly of a gentleman named Peter Hogg who had a business called Platinum Retirement Solutions basically helping people making decisions to go into retirement villages/residential care.
He had recently helped my friend move to a retirement village. I looked at his website Platinum Retirement Solutions and sent my details on the webpage
In no time Peter called back and we chatted and made a time that he could call and see my father and myself at Dads house
i was very impressed by his friendly engaging manner. You easily to warm to Peter!
I was faced with the daunting process of placing Dad into residential care whilst going through fairly extreme health issues myself
Peter was my Rock of Gibralter. He contacted me frequently to see how I was going and assuring me of his and and his wife Janettes unwavering support. It meant so much at this critical time.
My dad has recently been placed in residential aged care and I feel confident his is getting good care. This is all thanks to Peters guidance and support.
Finding the correct residential care for parent or loved one can be a fairly daunting process when you dont know the system.
Peter helped me through the whole process and helping me navigate the whole Aged Care minefield explaining it all in plain English
Peter and Janette (Peters wife and business partner) have definitely filled a market niche
I cant recommend Peter Hogg and Platinum Retirement Solutions highly enough and so glad I ran into my friend that day in October
